Age: 14 School: Daniel Hale Williams Prep of Medicine “My favorite activity is growing because I know where and how my food is being treated. I also love being outside and enjoying nature. Many people around the world don’t get to see the beauty of nature. That’s why I try to enjoy it while I can.” |
Age: 13 School: Andrew Carnegie “My favorite activity is building beds. Building beds is my favorite because it takes teamwork and communication.” |
Age: 14 School: Reavis “My favorite activity is drilling because it is hard work and it takes someone strong and someone that knows how to handle the work. I thought it was going to be hard but I just had to learn how to take control and later on in life I will be using what I have learned to help the community.” |
Age: 14 School: Team Englewood College Prep “Zip-Zap-Zop is my favorite activity because I like playing games as a group. When I win a game it makes me feel good about myself. My other favorite activity is building beds and preparing beds because it’s about teamwork and communicating.” |

Age: 14 School: Reavis Elementary “My favorite activity is to make beds because I like to use a ledge-hammer and nails. Another one of my favorite activities is to play the game ‘Zip-Zap-Zop’ because it’s challenging and fun at the same time.” |
Age: 14 School: Hyde Park/Kenwood “I enjoy the entire program because I get to meet new people and interact with them and that’s a big part of working. Also I like the team-builders that we do, but most importantly it’s to develop a sense of the grown-up world.” |
