Grapes & Hops: A Celebration of Wine and Beer

This event has a maximum capacity of 250 people. We encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance at the Visitor Center or online.

Taste unique brews and fine wines on six Wednesdays this summer at the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden. Professionals will be available to share their knowledge on what to look for when choosing beer or wine. Chefs will demonstrate creative ways to incorporate or pair the tasted beverages with food. Both beers and wines will be sampled each evening. Complimentary light fare includes cheese, crackers and vegetable crudités.

Sanford Winery presents Colin Crowley, executive chef of Terlato Wines International, in a cooking demonstration on July 23 and August 27. Whole Foods will offer a cooking demonstration at Grapes & Hops on July 9, July 30, August 13, and September 3.

Tickets, available June 9 at the Visitor Center Information Desk and online, are nonrefundable and may not be exchanged. Member admission is $8; nonmember admission is $10. Ticket packages are available at four evenings for $32 and six evenings for $48.

In the event of rain, Grapes & Hops will relocate to Nichols Hall (except for August 13, when it will relocate to McGinley Pavilion if it rains).

Designated drivers receive free admission.

Visitors must be 21 or older to attend and have a valid ID. Chicago Botanic Garden parking fees apply.

The Garden Trolley will transport visitors between the Glencoe Metra station and the Garden. Round-trip tickets are $2; Garden members and children 5 and under ride free.
