Awards and Prizes

 

Awards for Students:

• First Place Student Eco-Expedition: The student earning the most points overall will select from among several one- to two-week Teen Team environmental science expeditions offered by the Chicago Botanic Garden in partnership with the Earthwatch Institute. See www.earthwatch.org for the list of 2009 Teen Team expeditions.
• Second Place Student (second most points overall): $250 gift card
• Third Place Student (third most points overall): $250 gift card
• Certificates for first, second, and third place, and honorable mention, will be presented for each of the 11 categories
• GO TO 2040 Bold Ideas audience-choice awards will be presented at several Fairchild Challenge events using real-time keypad polling technology.

Awards for Schools:

• First Place School (most points overall): $1,000
• Second Place School (second most points overall): $750
• Third Place School (third most points overall): $500
• All schools earning at least 700 points will receive the Fairchild Challenge Award and $250
