Footprints

Read the lyrics to Footprints by Storey and design a cover for the CD sleeve. The winning entry will be used as a cover for the single, which will be available as a CD and download from multiple websites.  Watch a video intro from the band.

Premise: London-based indie band Storey is releasing their latest single, Footprints, specifically in honor of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) Footprints Challenge. Taken from Storey's amazing new album, Streets Will Fold, Footprints is a vivid, youthful call to arms to tackle climate change.

Guidelines:

  • Entries may be hand-rendered or computer-generated.
  • Entries must reflect the lyrics of the song and mission of the Fairchild Challenge.
  • Entries must include the Fairchild Challenge sunburst logo and the BGCI logo.
  • All images and text used in this project must be original, by the student.

All submissions must include:

  • A 5" x 5" design submitted in digital form (full size, 300 dpi jpg) or on art/print quality paper. 
  • A short essay, of no more than 100 words, explaining what a carbon footprint is and how it can be reduced. This essay will appear on the back of the cover.

Entries due January 13, 2010
For individuals
Maximum of 2 entries per school
Schools submitting compliant entries will receive 75 points per entry.
