Option 1 — T-shirt Design

 

 

WHAT'S THE BUZZ?

Create a design for the 2009-2010 Fairchild Challenge T-Shirt highlighting the importance of plant pollinators native to the Midwest.

Guidelines

  • Designs must include a depiction of least one plant pollinator that migrates through or is native to the Midwest. Examples of plant pollinators include bees, ants, wasps, flies, beetles, butterflies, and birds.
  • The main body of artwork must be created by hand as a relief print. Text and logos may be digitally added to the final submission.
  • Designs must include the Fairchild Challenge and Chicago Botanic Garden logos either alongside of, or incorporated into your design. Need logos? Contact us.

All submissions must include:

  • One, 11" x 17" design submitted in digital form (full size, 300 dpi jpg) or on art/print quality paper.
  • A short essay, of no more than 150 words, explaining the importance of the specific pollinators depicted in the student’s design.

Entries due December 16, 2009
For individuals
Maximum of 2 entries per school
Maximum of 100 points per entry
