The President's Circle

Dear President's Circle Members

PHOTO: Sunset at the GardenNow that summer has officially arrived, letís all plan to enjoy the many outdoor pleasures this season makes possible.

Wondering how to take advantage of every minute of long days and warm summer-evening air? We are open until 9 p.m. every summer evening until Labor Day. On four evenings, we offer a program of music, each with a different style, all performed by talented musicians. Even for me, the Garden is a wonderful place to end the day. With my young sons I can enjoy a simple picnic dinner or meal from the Grille. Or, I can find a babysitter and share an evening with my husband, watching the sunset with a cool drink, savoring the beauty of our magnificent Garden.

In Presidentís Circle news, I want to share that we are transitioning the Presidentís Circle Steering Committee to a more informal advisory group. Under the leadership of Presidentís Circle co-chairs Jane OíNeil and, beginning this month, Susan Canmann, I will continue to seek vital input from you and, in a new initiative, co-host events with Presidentís Circle members. Please join me in thanking the Steering Committee, Jane and Susan, and the extraordinary Michael Busch and Susan Stone, our inaugural co-chairs, for their service. I am extremely grateful for everyoneís thoughtful commitment as advisors and advocates.

I hope to see each of you soon at a Presidentís Circle event or at one of the Gardenís Summer Evenings—or at both, as summer is a season to enjoy as fully as we can!

All the best,
