This year, two of the Garden’s popular fall events, the Bulb Bazaar, sponsored by the Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society, and the Harvest Festival have been combined! Shop for the perfect spring-flowering bulbs for your garden at the bulb sale, featuring 200 varieties and, new this year, 300 mums of assorted colors in 2-gallon pots for only $6 each. You will not want to miss the vibrant harvest marketplace selling fresh vegetables, baked goods, roasted nuts, cut flowers, handmade soap, and more, all while enjoying live music.

Be sure to visit the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden to see the National Council of Jewish Womenís annual sukkah display in honor of the Jewish harvest holiday, Sukkot. Families are invited to take part in arts and crafts activities to decorate the sukkah from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 26.

Discounted members-only tickets are on sale now through September 23, when tickets open to the general public. Tickets cost $14 for members and $16 for nonmembers. Children ages 2 and under are free.

For the first time you can preorder select bulbs on the Gardenís website. Please be sure to place your order by September 23. You can pick up your order at the members-only presale being held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, October 1, or anytime the festival is open. The new Fall Bulb Festival promises our families a pleasurable way to celebrate fall and will help us all prepare for a glorious spring.
