Dear President’s Circle Member,
As the Garden begins its 40th anniversary year, we take joy in contemplating how far we've come in a very short time. So many people have helped the Garden transform from 385 acres of degraded land into a beautiful outdoor destination and one of the world's great living museums and conservation research facilities. Our gratitude is profound.
Every day, the stories I hear from those who are inspired by the Chicago Botanic Garden reinforce my commitment to nurturing plants, and people. But this undertaking is not a solo endeavor. Our efforts—including the support you provide as members of the President's Circle—are making a real difference in people's lives. From children at Camp CBG to students participating in Green Youth Farm, from the scientists in our laboratories to Master Gardener candidates, from couples enjoying a summer evening concert to individuals visiting their favorite gardens, everyone benefits from the Garden we have cultivated over the past four decades.

There's a certain clarity found during winter Garden walks, whether you're focusing on the brilliant clear sky, sparkling snow, or silhouettes of slumbering trees. I look forward to seeing you on a walk through the Garden during this wonderful season.
