Dr. Peter Crane will discuss the importance of international seed banking from the world's most endangered plant species along with the significant conservation work being done at the Garden. Former head of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, he was awarded knighthood in 2004 by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to conservation and horticulture and serves as a member of the board of directors of the Chicago Botanic Garden.
