Model Sailboat Sunday

This event is weather dependent.

Bring your child (and your child-like wonder) and watch model sailboats race across the lake. Demonstrations are organized by the Chicago Radio Controlled Sailing Club, and members are available to answer questions on sailboats, races and regattas. Visitors are invited to participate and learn about building and operating model sailboats and joining the sailing club.

The fun takes place at the Waterside Terrace on the Esplanade, with spectacular views of the lake and Smith Fountain.

The boats are 39 inches long, 65 inches tall, and weigh 10 pounds each.
