Plant Container Recycling Program

Bring your used plant containers to the Garden!

PHOTO: recyclable seedling insertOn Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, bring your plastic garden pots, containers, polystyrene cell packs and trays to the Chicago Botanic Garden. Unique to the North Shore, this pilot program will divert reusable materials from landfills. You will find collection bins in one of the parking lots where you can drive over and leave your items to be recycled.

This program is available to Garden members and visitors. Standard Garden parking fees apply; Garden Members receive free parking.

#2, #4, #5, and #6 garden pots, containers, polystyrene cell packs and trays

Please knock out all dirt and debris from materials before bringing them to the Garden. If possible, please sort and stack by pot size and number.
