Hot Summer Nights Music Series

Thursdays, June 12 – August 28, 2008, 6 to 9 p.m.
Take the trolley to Hot Summer Nights.

Special Events: David Gweshe, July 10 and 31.

Thursday evenings at the Garden offer high-energy music on the Esplanade as the perfect lift to get you through the work week.

On Hot Summer Nights, unwind and learn a new move or two! Professional dance instructors will be on hand to provide visitors with easy-to-understand mini-lessons that will correspond with the genre of the evening—whether it’s Cajun, Latin, swing, or country.

On two special evenings, July 10 and July 31, the Garden and the Garfield Park Conservatory bring Tafeneyi (David) Gweshe of Zimbabwe to Hot Summer Nights. David is accompanied by six musicians and the Boterekwa Dance Troupe, who will perform with him on the Esplanade.

Shimmy up to refreshment tables to purchase light fare and beverages (including beer, wine, and margaritas) reflecting the evening's culture. On concert nights only, you may enjoy a picnic on the Esplanade.

Admission is free. Parking is $15; free for members.

See what other summer evening offerings are at the Garden!
