Plant Association: 

Larvae feed primarily on plants from the Passifloraceae family. In Panama they only feed on Passiflora vitifolia.

Interesting Fact: 

The common name is derived from Greek mythology. Hecale was an old woman who offered shelter to Theseus on his way to capture the Marathonian bull.
