Native to: 

Argentina to the deep southern United States

Plant Association: 

Larvae feed on plants in the Fabaceae family.  Adults feed on a variety of nectar plants including bougainvilla, cardinal flower, hibiscus, lantana, and wild morning glory

Interesting Fact: 

Caterpillars are usually light green but can emerge yellow if they have been feeding on yellow flowers as their host plant.
