The author asks a young reader to identify a given plant for each seed illustrated and described in the text. Although the concept of this book is interesting and the colorful photographs of plants and seeds are vibrant, the execution of the work is disappointing. There are arguably too many trick questions, unintentionally meant to trap a student or budding botanist. Younger readers will certainly need the assistance of an older individual in the course of examining this book, to manage graphics and illustrations.
