A Field Guide to Alpine Wildflowers of the Rocky Mountains
This handy, laminated pamphlet provides a wonderful guide to wildflowers found in the Rocky Mountains from British Columbia in Canada to New Mexico. The author, a Swedish native, arrived in Canada years ago to work in Banff National Park, a wonderful place to learn about a rugged and beautiful flora. His interest in photography is clearly evident in the 112 images in this pamphlet, which, in spite of their size, provide plenty of detail. The photographs are arranged by color code and include information on size and location as well both scientific and common names. The back cover provides a ruler for mearuring flowers in situ. This publication will be an invaluable guide to hikers, easily slipped into a pocket or backpack.
