Here is a fine, handsome book on growing edible plants in containers and limited spaces. While the author gardens in suburban London, his experience and wisdom translate nicely to much of the U.S. His "show and tell" of his own small plot, including its fruit trees, and his descriptions of many private gardens — urban, suburban, and rural — confirm his credentials as an author worth reading early and often. With Michael Guerra's encouragment and example, many readers will begin to share his motivations, and ultimately his achievements.
