Artist David Nash created a series of wood sculptures using remnants of dead trees, gathered from historic collections at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Over a period of a year, Nash sought out a variety of materials, including seeds, pods, and metals on which to hone his craft of botanical art. This book consists of a series of essays describing Nash’s efforts at Kew. Considering that Nash’s main tools are a chainsaw and an axe, his products are quite amazing.
