I love climbing plants and grow far too many in my garden, always curious to see what they’ll do, going up and wandering all over the place! So this book certainly fits my interests and experiences.

Choosing and Using Climbing Plants has much useful information; every page includes something you'll be glad to know. For example, on page 19, problems with roses in partial shade and heavy clay soil are addressed. Those with large trees will appreciate the chapter on vigorous climbers for large trees. Author Barbara Abbs also discusses covering fences and railings, as well as hiding eyesores. Her book is full of lists, directions, lovely photos, diagrams, and plenty of information. Consult it often, and remember — when there is no more room in your garden, you can always grow up!
