Home and garden, it is said, complement each other, and this book tells you how to accomplish that feat by bringing the two together harmoniously. Author Gordon Hayward discusses all areas of a yard in detail, and accompanies his detailed analysis with numerous photographs and illustrations. Readers learn the important step of how to make scaled drawings of a property and, using that map, how to plan for the entire lot. Lots of practical information is easily accessible in this book, from planning a driveway to hiding (tastefully) meters and other home essentials. This is truly a "how-to" book, and a good one.
