Ellen Dugan.
Garden Witch’s Herbal: Green Magick, Herbalism & Spirituality.
Woodbury, Minn.: Llewelyn Publications, 2009.
paper, 291 pp., ISBN 978–0–7387–1429–5, $19.95.

Author Ellen Dugan encourages readers to work with nature by employing plants in traditional witchcraft practices. Attractively illustrated with sketches that depict individual plants and charming scenes of nature, the book contains a review of such activities using both garden and wild plants. Although the author recognizes that the average person may not be interested in pursuing herbalist practices, the information in the book may be of value to readers seeking knowledge about non–traditional and diverse uses of plants.
